Their passports are being processed and should be here in a few weeks. This week, the kids had their physicals updated for travel and bit the bullet, each receiving four immunizations to go abroad.

We will all receive the Yellow Fever vaccine closer to our travel date. Good news is - that day is coming! Fifteen referrals were made through AWAA this month. That's an amazing number, and we were overjoyed for the receiving families. This wonderful news of movement places our family in the Number One spot for a sibling referral. Yes! After the long wait, we're hopeful and so thankful to be the next family in line. We can't wait to finally see the beautiful faces of our Ethiopian children!
While we wait for "the big call", please join us in praying that our paperwork moves quickly, remains in order, and is handled with care. Please continue to pray for our new children. We pray that their hearts will be well prepared for their transition and that they'll have a fierce assurance that they are loved by God and by their new family. We also pray for their continued physical and emotional care. We ask God to protect them from all harm and illness. We pray that they would be blessed with caregivers of great faith who will continually remind them of their value in God's eyes.
We claim the psalmist's prayer for each of them: Holy God, Jehovah-Nissi, because you are my refuge, no evil shall be allowed to hurt me, no plague will come near me. I trust you will command your angels concerning me and guard me in all my ways. I rest upon your promise: You will protect me and you know my name. I know when I call, you will answer.
He knows. He answers. He protects.
We trust. We wait. We hope.
